Horse racing is a strong element of the film and is a very typical British sport. The teachers also mention buying Tea and crumpets, which are all typically British foods.
The school itself is situated into the typical British countryside. The formal uniform, the children wear is very stereotypically British, for example they wear: Tie, black skirt, black skirt and a black blazer and black shoes. Another example of britishness is spivs, who try and flog dodgy items. For example: Flash Harry uses the girls to make cheap gin and then tries and sells it on for a high price

Education
The Belles of St. Trinians suggests that education is not about the actual learning, but the experience of making friends and coming together to make things better. For example: All the girls come together to sell alcohol, capture a racehorse and fight against the people in power.

Age
The Belles of St. Trinians also suggest that children and youths are the ones in power over the adults. This is because they can not be controlled and do as they please. They also create plots and work as a team against the rest of the world. For example: At the end of the film, a girl steals a trophy and when given the chance to put it back, they all steal more.
The adults were also pelted with balls of flour which shows the children have no respect for people older than them.

Gender
The Belles of St.Trinians represents girls as the stronger sex and the ones in power. For example all the students and teachers are female. The two male ministers who visit the school to shut it down, find themselves being taken in by the girls and decide to stay under the girls power, rather than report back to the law.

Class
The children in St. trinians are tyically middle/upper class, as it would have cost a lot of money to send a child to an all girls boarding school 50 years ago. For example, there is an arabic girl, Fatima, who is sent there with £100 pounds pocket money, which in those days was a lot. However the childrens behaviour is portrayed in a way, which is more stereotypically associated with working class families. For example, the girls behave quite naughty by stealing a race horse,
